The 'Lonely' Remix
When I took on this project, I knew this was one that didn't need "much". Keeping the ambiance/essence of the message was key. After listening to the track multiple times, I could hear piano riffs (upper octaves), and other opportunities within the track that I could add as additional layers. Of course, maintaining the song's message and not interrupting Justin's vocal delivery was key. There aren't too many songs I take on for remixes these days, but this is one that truly connected with me.
On the morning of February 7th, 2021, I mastered the version now uploaded to Youtube as approved. Preview below:
